After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2001 at the University of Alabama in Huntsville, Layla continued her education at the University of Alabama receiving her Masters Degree in Nursing in 2007. A Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in acute care, she worked in the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital and is a “Trauma Nursing Core Course Provider”. She is also an active member of the North Alabama Nurse Practitioner Association. Layla resides in Decatur with her husband and daughter.
