Deborah Snead Abu-Alrub, Nurse Practitioner

A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Mrs. Abu-Alrub received her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Alabama Huntsville (UAH) in 2009 followed by a Doctorate of Nursing from UAH in 2012 with a focus on depression in cancer patients. While at UAH, she developed the “Coping with Cancer” program that is offered at Clearview Cancer Institute. Mrs. Abu-Alrub has a diverse clinical background that includes pain management, pulmonary and sleep medicine, and internal medicine. She also completed a clinical internship in gastroenterology. Mrs. Abu-Alrub worked as a forensic nurse examiner with Crisis Service of North Alabama, helping victims of rape and abuse. She has also published an article in a peer-reviewed journal on the importance of the recognition of obstructive sleep apnea in the primary care setting.

Mrs. Abu-Alrub enjoys serving the Huntsville community through various volunteer organizations, including Interfaith Mission Service and Ahsa Kiran. She lives in Madison with her husband of 23 years and their three children.
