Dr. C. Daniel Kingsley

While a Yankee by birth, Dr. Dan Kingsley moved south in 1991. He received his medical degree from the University of Alabama-Birmingham and is board certified in four specialties- Internal medicine, Hematology, Medical Oncology and Hospice & Palliative Medicine. He spent six years in Huntsville with CCI, but then returned to the University of Missouri, where he rebuilt the oncology clinical trials department and served as the interim division director. In an effort to get closer to north Alabama, he practiced in Chattanooga for four years, and has returned to CCI to the Florence location.

Dr. Kingsley has been an Associate Professor of Medicine with UAB and the University of Missouri and has been actively involved in medical education. He has authored multiple book chapters and peer review articles. In addition, he helped found the Alabama Cancer Congress, served as one of its presidents, and has sat on numerous state and national committees. While Dr. Kingsley likes teaching and serving the medical community, he most enjoys providing compassionate patient care covering all hematology and oncology diagnoses.

He has numerous non-medical interests-most importantly his wife and six children. The children are home schooled using a classical education approach. He is very active in his local church, loves to travel, dabbles in photography, is a NASA junkie and is passionate about Biblical archaeology.  Dr. Kingsley also serves as executive producer, researcher and stills photographer for Appian Media.
