Melissa P. Frazier, Nurse Practioner
Melissa P. Frazier has over 20 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1997 and began working as a registered nurse in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit at Huntsville Hospital. She earned her Masters of Science in Nursing at the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 2000 and then began her career as a CRNP with Radiology of Huntsville. Throughout her 15 years of experience with Interventional Radiology, she participated in the care of many oncology patients undergoing interventional procedures including vascular device placement, image guided biopsy, CT guided radio-frequency and cryo-ablation, hepatic artery chemo/radio embolization, and many image guided palliative interventions as well. It was through this professional experience, in combination with her personal experience of having numerous family members who battled cancer, that she developed a strong interest in oncology and affinity to this special patient population. In January 2017, she was presented with a wonderful opportunity to pursue a career in oncology and chose to accept a position as an Advanced Practice Provider with Clearview Cancer Institute.
Melissa met her husband, a native of Huntsville, while obtaining her undergraduate degree. They married in February 1998 and made Huntsville her home. In her free time, she focuses on strengthening her faith and walk with Christ. She loves spending time with her husband, their three beautiful children, family, and friends. She also enjoys reading and traveling.
