Dr. John Dasher

Dr. John Dasher received his Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences from Auburn University, graduating magma cum laude with honors. He went on to graduate as a Doctor of Medicine from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Subsequently, Dr. Dasher completed his Internal Medicine residency, followed by his Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at UAB. Dr. Dasher’s fellowship was completed at the NCCN designated O’Neal Cancer Center within the UAB system, and he maintained his clinic at the Birmingham VA.

Throughout the course of his training, Dr. Dasher served as a mentor for medical students, received awards for patient communication, conducted quality improvement research, and authored or co-authored a multitude of research articles, papers, and posters.

Dr. Dasher is dedicated to keeping up with the ever-evolving landscape of research, and he is committed to fostering clear and compassionate communication with his patients.

Dr. John Dasher grew up in Somerville, AL and met his wife, Dr. Lauren Dasher, while they studied at Auburn University. He is passionate about music, guitars, motorcycles, hiking, and spending time with his family.
