Beth Wood, Nurse Practitioner

Beth Wood attended The Medical College of Virginia in Richmond where she graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1984. She worked in the fields of Medicine, Cardiology, and Endoscopy. She returned to her home of Alabama and there decided to further her career. She attended school at The University of Alabama, Huntsville, graduating in 2009 with her Master’s Degree of Nurse Practitioner.

Beth worked as a nurse practitioner is gastroenterology for 5 years and then most recently in neurology on The Stroke Team at Huntsville Hospital where she was responsible for assessing acute stroke patients for emergent treatment to improve long term effects of strokes.

Beth’s family experienced the excellent care provided by CCI when her son was diagnosed and treated for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. It has been a desire of hers to work with this compassionate team of caregivers since that time. She views her work as a ministry.

Beth is the mother of 3 grown children and enjoys cycling with her husband, beach vacations with her family, and spending time with her grandson, Oliver.
