Lisa Achord, NP

Lisa Achord is a board-certified Acute Care Nurse Practitioner with more than 20 years of healthcare experience. She began her career working in the laboratory while earning her nursing degree and graduated from Calhoun Community College with her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2003. While working as a nurse and later charge nurse in the Cardiovascular Surgical ICU, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing, graduating from the Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program in 2010.

Lisa practiced as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner in the Cardiovascular Surgical ICU from 2011 to 2016 before transitioning to Interventional Radiology, where she cared for patients before and after procedures. Working closely with oncology patients during that time sparked her passion for cancer care.

Lisa joined CCI in July 2026 and is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care while supporting patients and their families throughout their treatment journey.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys serving Christ through her church’s outreach and elementary girls ministries. She and her husband, Chris, who is also a nurse practitioner, have two sons, Jacob and Hudson. In her free time, she enjoys exercising, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
